3 In-Salon Treatments to Indulge Your Hair With This Spring
While you may only visit your hair salon when you are in need of a cut and color, there are an array of other options that you can (and should) try this season.
Now, more than ever before, salons are offering treatments that specifically target product buildup, split-ends, and scalp issues to ensure you have the healthiest hair of your life.
As technologies are developing quickly (and in the hair industry, they certainly are), you can be sure to hear about a wave of treatment trends.
But, if you just want something to enhance the health of your hair (without spending all your savings), here are three in-salon treatments you might want to indulge your hair with this spring.
1. Product buildup treatment
Due to the environments we live in, our hair experiences buildup from a range of sources. Pollution is a significant factor, as is the water quality in your shower. If you take medication, that can affect the buildup, as can your choice of exercise (swimmers, you know what we are saying!).
All of this, plus the products you choose to slap on each morning and night, end up creating a massive buildup in your hair. And you need something to break that down — that is, if you want your hair to feel light, bright and soft.
One of the most-loved salon treatments for product buildup is the Davines Detoxifying Treatment which is (somewhat surprisingly) a clay mask.
In a similar manner to your favorite clay face mask, the treatment will be applied to your hair and scalp and allowed to dry for about 20 minutes, before being rinsed off. Next, the technician will use an exfoliating shampoo to loosen the clay further and ensure all the buildup is removed. Next, you have a blow-dry and voila! Beautiful, bouncy, shiny hair.
2. Split ends treatment
We have all been there — our hair has become so weak that it has begun to break at the end of the hair shaft. There is a multitude of reasons why split ends happen. It could be a result of spending too much time in the sun or using too many heat tools or harsh styling products.
To completely eradicate all split ends, you will have to trim your hair. However, there are a few ways to manage and maintain them before they reach that point.
Obviously, you need to be using the right hair products that repair, nourish and hydrate your hair. Additionally, regularly use a deep-conditioning hair mask and hair serum to prevent any further damage to your split ends.
This spring, however, you should treat yourself to a split ends treatment at the salon, in the form of a Brazilian Blowout Split Ends Treatment. In order to receive this treatment, you will need to visit a certified salon; however, the treatment itself only takes about 10 minutes and can assist in maintaining split ends for up to four weeks.
Brazilian blowouts not only require no downtime (you can exercise immediately after), but they are also perfect for all hair types and highly customizable to your specific hair, and they won’t affect your natural curl pattern.
In other words, what is stopping you from saving your split ends and diminishing any and all frizz?
3. Scalp issues treatment
Unfortunately for all of us, head massages are not the way to a healthy scalp. No matter how much you massage an oily scalp, it will remain an oily scalp. (The same is true for trying to use massage as a way to produce more oil for a dry scalp.)
If you find yourself with a scalp issue, you may want to consider booking yourself in for an Astara Treatment which helps to calm itchy, irritated scalps, and aids in alleviating difficulties such as clogged pores, buildup and flakes.
As it is considered to be akin to a facial for your scalp, you can believe that models in Dubai are making this a routine treatment.
Feeling confident with yourself includes feeling good about your hair. Whether you are looking to treat yourself or really tackle an issue, these three treatments will put you on the right track to looking and feeling your best.
