Low-cost 6-20 GHz Microwave Spectrum Analyzer
SAF Tehnika has added a low-cost spectrum analyzer device to their Spectrum Compact range of ultra-portable handheld RF spectrum analyzers that support 6 GHz–20 GHz. The new Spectrum Compact microwave analyzer offers best-in-class price/performance and great durability at an affordable price, making it ideal for field engineers and technicians who plan Wi-Fi network links, installs, maintenance, site acceptance, and troubleshooting.
What is a Spectrum Analyzer
A Spectrum Analyzer is a tool that can be used to determine the frequency of a signal. Our low-cost spectrum analyzer operates at 6-20 GHz and has a sensitivity of -110 dBm at 30 kHz resolution bandwidth, as well as a long battery life of up to 4 hours and instant-on capabilities for fast start-up and operation. All of this power is packed into a durable, ultra-compact handheld spectrum analyzer measuring only 135 x 83 x 34 (mm)/ 5.31 x 3.27 x 1.34 (inches) and weighing only 0.57 kg/20.11 oz. Spectrum Compact is perfect for mobile carriers, telecommunications professionals, Internet service providers (ISPs), and contractors in charge of regulatory and compliance, drone applications, and satellite operations.
Using a Spectrum Analyzer
The Spectrum Compact spectrum analyzer family has been built from the ground up to meet the demands of field applications. The 6 GHz–20 GHz handheld spectrum analyzer, like all Spectrum Compact versions, offers a resistive touchscreen for operation with gloves, as well as high contrast display modes for easy readability in strong light. The Spectrum Compact microwave analyzer can survive severe situations thanks to the waveguide adapter connections’ durable thumbscrews. For offline analysis, inquiry, and reporting, spectrum traces can be saved in the Spectrum Manager PC’s inbuilt 8 GB memory.
The 6 GHz – 20 GHz RF spectrum analyzer extends the frequency range for the Spectrum Compact family. The E-band (70-87 GHz) and V-band (56-71 GHz) handheld spectrum analyzers are the only portable ones on the market.
What is a Spectrum Analyzer Used for?
Spectrum Compact microwave analyzers are well suited for mobile operators, carriers, and tower installation crews deploying 5G networks, Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs), local government institutions, public safety departments, and critical network infrastructure owners. Site surveys, radio parameter verification, antenna alignment, interference detection, line-of-sight verification, signal intensity mapping, and interference hunting may all be done with the ultra-portable, cheap handheld microwave spectrum analyzer.
